As we are aware that the Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL), the fuel supplier, has issued directions to all CNG pumps to ensure that the gas is dispensed only to those vehicles that have an updated compliance plate.
But before this most of the CNG fitting centers (approx. 90%) were not fitting this plate at the time of installing the CNG kit. Also the customer was not aware about this guideline. So now the question is who is responsible for this?
There is no fix price of any authorize CNG fitting centers for this plate. They are charging about Rs. 500 to 1000 for this plate and none of the authority/regulatory is taking care of such issues.
One of my friends sent an email to IGL ltd to raise this concern and received the following reply.

IGL has no role in specifying any amount for compliance plate. All the RFC Centers are controlled and regulated by Transport Department of Delhi. You can complain to them if you are facing any problem.
